Dr. Wei-Na Yu, CMD
Founder
International Chinese Medical Doctor, Licensed Acupuncturist, Certified Health Coach, Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Nutrition Response Testing
Dr. Yu is a highly respected, widely adored and celebrated Chinese medicine doctor global. Dr. Yu uniquely combines her extensive Chinese medicine knowledge of whole-body healing, with today’s western lifestyle, to transform diet, nutrition and bring true cellular detox, into her patients’ natural healing process. As a result, she has served over 60,000+ patients in almost 45 years of practice.
Dr. Wei Na Yu has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 45 years, having been trained from a young age by esteemed Indigenous elder mentors in China. Every day, she infuses ancient wisdom into her healing methods, drawing from a unique form of Traditional Chinese Medicine rooted in her Indigenous heritage— a practice that is now nearly extinct.
With her undeniable talent and wisdom of Chinese medicine, warm heart and candid sense of humor, Dr. Yu has helped patients with the most mild and complex health concerns including depression, infertility, digestive issues, skin disorders, addiction and obsession cycles, autoimmune diseases, vertigo, hair loss, and much more.
Education has been something that has been cherished by Dr. Yu since she first began practicing. She never stops learning and improving her work. As a result, Dr. Yu is one of the few Chinese medicine doctors certified by the prestigious World Federation of Chinese Medicine and is a licensed acupuncturist in New York and Florida. She is also a graduate of Kwangchow College of Chinese medicine in China.
Dr. Yu is a certified health coach trained at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She has studied Nutrition Response Testing at Ulan nutritional Systems and became a certified master clinical training practitioner. She has also received her certification in Emotion Center Point release from the New Human – Pure Human Potential Center and became a platinum practitioner of True Cellular Detox from the Health Center of the Future in Utah.
She is a mother of two children who, inspired by their own mother’s medical legacy, will continue on to follow in their mother’s footsteps and support the healing of the next generation.
Colin Zhu, DO, FACLM, DipABLM, Chef
Dr. Colin Zhu is double Board-Certified in Family Practice and Lifestyle Medicine. Driven by his passion for the intersection of medicine, food, and nutrition, he trained as a plant-based chef and health coach at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health & Culinary Arts and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, respectively. Having worked in general practice, he quickly observed the inefficiencies of the modern healthcare system. Therefore, in 2017, he launched TheChefDoc, an online wellness and lifestyle education platform that has now been featured in several publications to impact the general public more broadly and deeply.
Dr. Zhu is an international keynote speaker, the author of “Thrive Medicine: How To Cultivate Your Desires and Elevate Your Life,” and the host of the Thrive Bites Podcast, in which he interviews health and wellness experts on living a plant-powered lifestyle, enhancing emotional wellness, and creating a thriving mindset. He also created The THR5 Formula™️, a self-educational masterclass series that combines inspiration, education, and practical tools on how to thrive, with its 5 To THR5™️ Pillars: Food As Medicine, Functional Fitness, Relationships, Community, & Emotional Resilience.
He is currently on the Board of Directors of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), a professional organization galvanized to make Lifestyle Medicine the foundation of all healthcare. He is also Chair of the Food As Medicine/Culinary Medicine Member Interest Group at ACLM. Dr. Zhu’s main mission is to help connect the dots between individual well-being, community, and environmental sustainability, and how our life choices create a dynamic ripple effect. Look for his upcoming collaborative cookbook, Empowered Kitchen, tentatively set for 2026.

Dominica Zhu-Pierre-Louis
Dominica is Dr. Yu’s daughter. She is the Founding Director of Global Wisdom Collective, an organization that advocates and leads programming around safeguarding Indigenous knowledge systems, for and alongside, Indigenous Peoples and diaspora communities. She is a nutritionist, Certified Health Coach, and Intermediate Level Graduate of Nutrition Response Testing.
She leads the education and legacy arm of the Yu Center.
